The College of Pharmacy Practice welcomes the passing of the Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Bill 2019 at LegCo

香港藥劑專科深造學院 歡迎立法會今日三讀通過《2019年吸煙(公眾衞生)(修訂)條例草案》，禁止新型吸煙產品進入香港。

政府立法禁止新型吸煙產品進入香港，能阻止將煙草和尼古丁依賴的禍害影響青少年和廣大市民。

本學院將繼續支持政府的控煙工作，把香港吸煙率進一步降低，消除煙草對香港市民的禍害，保障市民的健康。

The College of Pharmacy Practice welcomes the passage of the Smoking (Public Health) (Amendment) Bill 2019 in the Legislative Council today to prohibit new forms of tobacco products from entering Hong Kong market.

With the introduction of the legislation to ban new forms of tobacco products to enter Hong Kong, the health of the young people and the general population could be better safeguarded against the hazardous effects of tobacco and nicotine dependence.

Our college will continue our efforts in supporting the Government’s tobacco control work to protect public health, with the aim of further reducing the overall smoking prevalence and eliminating the harm of tobacco to Hong Kong citizens.
